Tandem, the country band at Cancun Cantina in Hanover, MD this week, has been coming there for a couple of years. A few months ago they added a new female fiddle player who's really taken them up a notch.  You Gotta Have A Fiddle In The BandNot only should every country band be required to have a fiddle, but though Tandem's newest band member is a petite lady she has a "big" voice. The first time I heard her sing, my attention was riveted even though I'd stepped out of the main bar. She was belting out Ashton Shepherd's Takin' Off This Pain and if anything, her rendition was better than the original because she's got a much more straightforward but still powerful delivery. Hannah is no longer playing with the Tandem Band. Hannah has chosen to spend her time now in the studio trying to finish her long awaited cd. Hannah is so grateful for her opportunities and experiences and proud of the work she has done thus far. She is extremely anxious to give you all a listen and will complete her cd as fast as she, the engineer and musicians can. It is truly close to completion. Thank you to everyone who continues to support and enjoy Hannah Violet's music. Tandem's drummer Kevin Miller, top drummer and teacher in the area, will be appearing on several tracks off of Hannah's cd to come so please check out their music. Also Phil, Pilorz, Tandem's guitarist will continue playing with Hannah acoustically.

I am excited to tell you that tonight I will be playing for wxlv 90.3 fm at the Center Valley Tavern at 8:00. I wasn't able to give you much heads up, I apologize but if you want to check it out, the recording of my 10 songs will be for sale through www. thephilstahlshow.com. Also, his website will tell me when the recording will air on the radio. I will send out an email when I recieve that information. Thank you and listen for my dad and I on the local radio. "Can't Break a Heart" (can't break a heart that wasn't gonna keep you around). This was at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville Tn during songwriter's open mic in 2008. Warning- dizziness may occur after watching video to the middle section; the fan cam turns sideways. Not so wonderful but I still wanted to share my song with you if you want to check it out.

Here's an original song I wrote called "Violet Sky". I had such an awesome time playing at Tc's last night. Thank you to everyone who came out on a Thursday night and hung out, listened, clapped along, and made my night so great. There should be more pictures and videos to come. 7-24-09
